Who needs a Wii when you’ve got Soap?

Just browsing arround, I found soap . At first I thought: “You’ve got to be kidding”, but it’s really a fun way of interaction. You’ve got to see it for yourself.

That looks really cool, though I don’t think I could ever hold a wet bar of soap in my hand like that for longer than 3 seconds.. I’d like it to light up like the thing from the video though, that’d be really awesome..

All the nonsense aside, I think there’s one characteristic a traditional mouse has in favor of soap, whereas with soap you have to have it in your hand and thus pick it up before you can actually control it. With a mouse you can just put your hand on it, which makes a difference in the time it takes before you can handle the device..

..but the soap-thing is still really cool I reckon.

Looks funny, I want one I want one I want one! ;-)

@Ruben: I think you’re partly right, but imagine the scenarios where using a ‘real’ mouse isn’t practical… I can think of a few! (sitting on your couch, standing on your feet, lying in bed, even moving around or hanging upside down!)

It would be nice if some company would pick this up and release a version to the public… (Logitech?)

@Andreas: You’re right indeed, however, what I said was really from a programmer/webdesigner’s point of view, where you constantly have to switch between typing and handling the mouse.
But I do agree that soap has huge potential..
